Updating the website with new photos is always satisfying. Just being able to hold up your work from last year up against your current work, it just makes you feel good. I told myself something a couple years ago about "even if you suck at it right now (photography), just keep going. It won't be easy, but anything worth having is never easy to get. So don't quit!"
And here I am, still just chipping away. Trying to learn more, do more with each passing week. I know that I will never "arrive". Whatever passion you have is a journey. So enjoy the ride, and never stop learning!
Peace and love,

Wow, yesterday it felt so good to get to physically display my work for people to see. That was my first gallery type of show and it was amazing and humbling to see people look at MY work, and talk about it, and share in it with me. Usually I send my galleries strait to my clients, so I don't always get to hear their thoughts, but this was definitely a great experience. I met a lot of talented, creative artists some of my favs being Salato designs - who makes super cute hand bags, and another artists who made beautiful necklaces out of paper. I was seriously impressed with that!
All in all, great night. I'll have pics up soon. Thank you so much to all the friends and family who came out to support me and show some love. It means so much! Love you guys! And to everyone one else I had the pleasure to meet last night - you guys rock, keep doing what you're doing!
Venegas Studios is here and ready for action!
San Francisco Hair Stylist - Javier Cisne
San Antonio Musician and Singer of "South River Trio" - Karen Guerra
Here's a photo of my display while I was setting up. Unfortunately, I don't have a pic at the moment to show you of the finished set up, but I will in a couple weeks.
Thank you everyone who came out! Friends and Fam! You guys are the best!
And Thanks Javier for snapping this photo ;)
After the fact, we titled this "piece": "sqeeeeeze!!"
jk, But thanks everyone!! <3
Ok, that's all for now. Have a lovely day everyone.
Peace and Love ;)

Well, today's the day! Today I am honored to display my work for hundreds to see at the RAW artist showcase SCOPE. This will be to date the biggest showcase I've had the privilege to be a part of in my photographic career. I've had time to get all my gitters out of the way. I'm still super excited, but calm. I'm ready to get out there, put my work out there, and meet some new, amazing people along the way ;) Can't wait for the evening, guys ;)

Today's session was just too much fabulous!
Today I had the pleasure of doing a little glam rock shoot with one of Houston's own - Pop Artist, Kariana Elle. She brought all kinds of hot to her very cool, understated, saucy photo shoot. We chose metal to compliment her lightly edgy ensemble, and played with a few props.

The first Consultation is FREE, so there's no pressure to make any decisions today!
Just simply come, view our extended galleries, and see if we might be the right fit for you!
We want to get to know you, it helps us do our job better on your special
day! ;)
First Meeting:
No need to feel pressure to jump in right away. We'd love to meet with you for coffee to show off our work and style, and see if we are just the right. Sometimes we are, and sometimes we aren't. Either way is fine, and we'd be happy point you in the direction of another professional if we can't meet your needs. Let us show you some extended galleries and tell us about your plans for your big day! We'll give you all the info you need on our packages, and give you some questions to think about for when you want to take the next step.
Second Meeting:
Once you've had time to think it over and have decided that Venegas Studios is the one for the job, we'll meet again to iron out some of the details. You can pay your deposit to lock in your spot on our calendar, we'll get all the location details for the wedding, and this is where it get's fun - for all engagement and bridal shoots we'll sit down, get all the info we need from you about the photo shoot as far as themes, props, locations, and styles! Don't know where to start? Don't worry, we'll make it easy. All you need to do is show up! We'll have sample galleries ready to show you, so you can pick out a style that you're looking for!
Final Meeting:
By this time you have already had your engagement photos out of the way, and you may still have your Bridal shoot coming up (If you wanted one. They are usually done 4-6 weeks before the wedding). It's just 1 to 2 months before your wedding and your
big day is finally coming together and right around the corner! This will be our final
meeting before you take your vows and publicly celebrate your love before friends and
family, and there are just a few lose ends to tie up.
At this meeting we'll help you work on your wedding timeline, if need be, or make sure that we can acquire your timeline from you to allow for all your family, bride and groom, and wedding party portraits throughout the day.
And that's it! The next thing is the big party!
Some people wonder why we have so many meetings with our couples compared to other wedding photographers, and the answer is this:
We love to work closely with our couples and families, and we like for us to get to know each other BEFORE your big. Wedding days are filled with a wide range of emotions - the anticipation, the excitement, the stress, the beautiful intimate moments, and all the feelings in between! It's a wonderful, crazy day that just sweeps you up!
Our investment in getting to know you ensures that we capture you in your natural element. And that you don't feel uncomfortable with a stranger with a camera following you around! This investment is what allows us to capture your best moments so you can treasure them for years to come! And that's something we're not willing to pass up!

"OH! I saw ANOTHER PRINCESS earlier today when I was at the Botanical Gardens seeing the legos! But she was wearing Pink!" the little boy said excitedly when he saw Lauren in her big, pretty dress! It was the cutest thing!! He ran up to us when we were shooting at Landa Library this afternoon and started telling us about the other "PRINCESS" haha. There's a pretty awesome little park there, so there's usually lots of kiddos around.... But you had it pretty close little buddy. Here's Lauren looking just as fabulous as a princess!

It was a cloudy day in San Antonio. As I peeked out my window to check the weather, I could see the clouds rolling in from off in the distance. I looked down at my phone to see a text from Justice with a screen shot of todays weather forecast that didn't look too promising, confirming that we were still on for today's shoot . We decided to go for it and try to beat the storm before it hit us in the downtown area, and I'm so glad that we did!
Once we got to Brackenridge Park, it was all hustle and bustle with the usual Sunday crowd- families gathered together, sprinkled across the park, birthday parties and balloons, alternating with good old fashioned BBQs.
We set up near the Bridge, one of my favorite spots, to capture a few photos.
Hope you enjoy your photos, Justice!
You have a wonderful family! ;)
